Hollywoodland…

So I've been waiting to view this film for a while now. Never got around to seeing it in the theaters and it's been "very long wait" status on netflix since it was release on dvd. But finally a copy was sent out. So was it worth the wait? ... Not really.

Perhaps under normal circumstances it might have been decent. But under such self imposed hype it was just a passable use of time. Here is my problem, after more than 2 hrs of film where do we get at the end of the film? The death of George Reeves is labeled a suicide at the beginning and (spoilers people) is labeled a suicide at the end of the film. During the entirety of the film they examine some other theories and people in Reeve's life, however all the conspiracies and thrills are for naught as none of it matters.

I think it would have been much better as a simple biopic showing the troubles of being forever seen as the man of steel and conflicts between his two loves.
