Cinque Terre…

No place like it on earth. All five towns are pretty cool. Lots of steps and uphill action. Don't know if there is enough to warrent going back. Not a whole lot to do there besides walk around. Not as relaxing as Lake Como was.

Goodbye France…

Today will be my last day in France. To say that I'm looking forward to Italy would be an understatement. France has to be the most inefficent country in the world. I don't know how many times we waited in extremely long lines staring at a bank of closed service windows praying that they will open another window up. But they never do. They just sit in the back looking at the see of people just laughing at it all. The fact that I hate standing in lines in the first place did nothing to help the situation.

Most every town is beyond filthy with grafitti and dog shit everywhere, even the touristy areas. Seriously French people don't even bother to pick up after their dogs. It's not even like it's off to the side, no just huge turds right in the middle of a public square.

I came to France. I saw. I experianced. I enjoyed myself. But right now I see no reason to come back.

Saint Tropez…

This is a neat little island. Very small, you could probably walk the entire thing in half a day. Unfortunately half of the attractions were closed when we went. We did hike up to on of the higher points on the island to get some nice views of the surround area, which was very nice.

Cannes…

Cannes was pretty cool. But the only thing there is the Grand Auditorum which is used for the film festival. Thing looks smaller in real life. Other wise Cannes has some nice looking beaches and some upscale shopping on certain streets. But once you venture further the town actually looks kind of shitty. The train station is flithy. I see no reason to come back unless it was for the film festival.
